  6. 6 Click "Done", then select the server from your list and click "Join Server". You're in! 🎉
⚠️Make sure you are on Minecraft version 1.21.1. You can check and change your version in the Minecraft Launcher before launching the game.
🚀 Once You're In — Getting Started

📋 First Things First: Accept the Rules

When you first join Summit SMP, you won't be able to play right away. You need to read and accept the server rules before you can do anything. Here's how:

  1. 1 Once you've joined the server, open the chat. On Java, press T on your keyboard. On Bedrock, tap the chat bubble icon at the top of the screen.
  2. 2 Type the command /rules and press Enter. This will display the server rules in chat.
  3. 3 Read through all of the rules carefully.
  4. 4 Once you've read the rules, click or tap the Accept button that appears in chat (or follow the on-screen instructions) to confirm you agree.
  5. 5 That's it — you're free to play! Welcome to Summit SMP! 🏔️
⚠️ Can't move or interact? That's normal! It just means you haven't accepted the rules yet. Type /rules in chat and follow the steps above.
💡 Helpful Tips
🔄Wrong version? In the Java Launcher, click the dropdown next to the Play button and select version 1.21.1 before launching.
🔥Can't connect? Double-check the IP is spelled exactly as summitsmp.mc.gg with no spaces. Bedrock players must also have port 25600 filled in.
📶Still can't connect? Try restarting Minecraft, check your internet connection, and make sure you're not on a school or public network that blocks game servers.
Not sure which version you have? If you bought Minecraft from the Microsoft Store or play on console/tablet, you have Bedrock. If you bought it from minecraft.net and use the Minecraft Launcher app, you have Java.
